AHHHHHHH FINALS ARE FINALLY OVER =D

I know it's not exactly reasonable for me to ask for forgiveness after disappearing for a good few weeks without notice, but I do think that "preparing" for finals is a good enough reason for my temporary absence.

But life is awesome once again, even if there are only 6 days left till Christmas.

Blazer: Vintage // Top, collar: H&M // Shorts: Forever 21 //
Ribbon cuff: Aldo Accessories // Oxfords: Stepss

Though not exactly Canadian winter weather-approved, this festive mix of cranberry red and teal green would be splendid for a casual, pre-Christmas get-together in a fairly mild location.

(Ok fine, these photos were taken a while ago, on an abnormally warm winter day that permitted legs to be bared and winter scarves to be hidden away.)

Still working with different patterns and textures, I found argyle and lace to be an intriguing and post-worthy combo. Inject some complementary pigments  (teal is to berry red as orange is to blue) to spice it up a bit and maybe a hint of neutral accents and you've got yourself a look!

Honestly, this blazer cannot be more perfect! Though the 70's shoulder pads are still evident, the design still remains modern with a slightly baroque-esque pattern (that seemingly resembles a genie lamp in my opinion) and timelessly preppy with an all-over argyle print.

Also happen to be insanely in love with this adorable ribbon cuff - who knew chocolate jewellery could be so wearable? Not to mention, they just happened to match with the shiitake mushroom buttons on the blazer!

And how could I possibly forget what I have much too many pairs of? (Ahhhh shoes~) Having eloquently mixed dark and light tones to create an impeccable monochromatic colour ratio (or rather, lack thereof), I must also add that I'm extremely excited that my oxfords are finally getting their own time under the limelight. They're no stranger to my ever expanding shoe closet (Indeed! My platforms inhabit an area entirely their own!), but for some unknown reason, they never really made it to any of the previous posts.

Congrats to all those finished with exams, and good luck to those who are still in the midst of writing!

Happy (Early) Holidays!
